Chris Vos sluit sponsordeal met Beemster kaas
Chris Vos tekent een driejarig contract met Beemster kaas. Vos heeft de ambitie om mee te doen aan de Paralympische Winterspelen in Pyongyang Korea in 2018 aan de discipline para snowboarden. Hij verscheen al eerder aan de start op 15 jarige leeftijd bij de Paralympics destijds in Sochi 2014.
De 17-jarige Beemsterling is blij met deze sponsorovereenkomst. “Door mijn deelname aan de komende X Games en de World Cup wedstrijden in USA en Canada, zal ik onze eigen Beemster kaas internationaal kunnen uitdragen. Tevens hoop ik dat ik mede door deze aandacht de beeldvorming van mensen met een beperking positief kan beïnvloeden en door het uitoefenen van mijn sport een inspiratie kan zijn voor vele mensen. Niet kijken naar de onmogelijkheden maar naar de mogelijkheden is het motto”. Op 5-jarige leeftijd is Chris verlamd geraakt aan zijn rechterbeen door een ongeluk met een graafkraan. Het gevolg hiervan is een plexus letsel, wat betekent dat een aantal zenuwen niet meer goed functioneren waardoor zijn gehele rechterbeen verlamd is
“Al het goede komt uit de Beemster”, aldus directeur van Beemster kaas Wim Betten. “Wij sponsoren met veel enthousiasme deze jonge talentvolle Beemsterling de komende jaren”.

Chris Vos signed a three years contract with Beemster cheese.

Some history about Chris, at 5 years of age Chris was is injured on his right leg in a serious accident with a digging crane.
The consequence of this injury is a plexus laesie, which means that a number of nerves in the leg is no longer function properly so that the entire right leg is paralyzed.
